Top notch Growing Business Awards entries prove entrepreneurial spirit is still alive and kicking in the UK
The Growing Business Awards have once again managed to attract a stellar line up of entries to this year's awards, proving that entrepreneurial spirit is still very much alive and kicking in the UK despite the challenges facing businesses in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The largest number of entries came from technology companies, suggesting that this continues to be a significant area of growth, while there was also strong representation from companies operating in a wide range of industries including healthcare, retail, media, catering and financial services.
The Growing Business Awards are now in their 22nd year and have always been regarded as the ultimate accolade and mark of achievement for entrepreneurial business in this country, with previous winners including smoothie company Innocent, flight comparison site Skyscanner, adventure specialists Go Ape and Higgidy, the pie makers.
But this year the awards are also so much more than that too. In these extraordinary times they are also a tribute to the hugely important role that entrepreneurial businesses play within our society.
Fast-growing businesses are the bedrock of the British economy, providing an enormous amount of innovation, employment and wealth creation. These awards celebrate their resilience, resourcefulness, enthusiasm and enduring determination to succeed against the odds.
Amber Ward, Director of the Growing Business Awards, said:
“I am delighted to have received so many fantastic entries to the 2020 Growing Business Awards. Businesses have a vital role to play in driving the UK economy forward and I feel enormously proud that the Growing Business Awards are able to acknowledge and support their achievements in this way.”
The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony on 25th November 2020.
